Authentic and compassionate, Karen provides her clients with therapy that is inclusive, affirming, and tailored to their individual life experiences. She believes that each person has a unique story, and has learned that within those stories are the best resources for growth and change. She helps clients discover those resources, so they can find hope and healing, and feel empowered to engage their lives with clarity and confidence.

Karen’s approach is client-centered, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based techniques, supporting clients as they gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change. She works with adolescents and adults, and offers individual and group therapy. Karen helps clients navigate anxiety, bipolar and other mood disorders, self-esteem, significant relationships, identity issues, life transitions, and women’s issues. She also has experience working with addiction, co-occurring disorders, and clients from diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community.

Over the past 20 years, Karen has worked with clients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including individual and group counseling, intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) treatment programs, residential treatment programs, and community mental health. This diverse experience enables Karen to bring a well-rounded perspective to her work, adapting therapy to best meet the needs of each individual and group.
